A business strategy finance expert, Dar Aalaei has over 17 years of experience in finance, audit, and accounting with both venture-backed and publicly traded companies.
Dar’s extensive finance background started at KPMG where he was a member of the Audit team evaluating balance sheets and revenue recognition standards for clients such as Apple, Synopsis, and NetSuite’s IPO S-1 filing.
Dar also has several years of hands-on start up experience. He was a co-founder of a tech company, was the lead Finance and Operations professional for two Series B medical device companies helping to guide them through equity financing, debt structures, and operations efficiency improvements.
Dar holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Babson College and a B.A. in Accounting and Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Outside of work, Dar enjoys spending time with his wife and twin daughters and training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
